This one is very personal for me.

This Lady has a birthday this month, she turns 85!  Eternally greatful to have this strong woman as my Grandmother.  I have refered to her as the matriarch of our family a few times in the past.  But words cannot describe an ounce of what her legacy means to me.  She has lived through many tough times, as a woman no less.  Not only has she survived, but she made her world work for her.  Her courage, faith, and persistence, is inspiration to me every day.  And Baba did it in style.  She refused to step out of her house unless she was properly groomed, even at the village getting a loaf of bread accross the street.  I wanted to honour her in my own way and let her know how loved and appreciated she is.

It is often said that, we are afraid of what we do not know; what if we could all share our wisdom and experiences? Would that make a more empathetic world? Better humans?

"Sweet Nothings" is now finished and will be available through my art page or Saatchi Art (link in my bio) by the ends of the day.  My intentions here were to draw focus through colour and working with positive and negative space.  Feel it was quite successful, I especially love the all the natural wood grain showing through and lending it's own artistic signature to the painting. 

I think everyone loves it when that special someone leans in close and wispers in your ear. What do they say? Well that is the prize isn't it? I won't tell if you won't😉.

The hummingbird and it's fabulous wings is representative of the flutter in your stomach when you are experiencing this wonderful event.  Also as the old saying goes "A little birdy told me.".   As are the Bubbles on her jewlery.

🐦This painting is almost finished and I am Sooo excited to share the whole thing with you. I guess the one good thing about rain⚡☁☔ for an entire week is that I was very productive. (Although I did miss my morning runs 🏃) Stay tuned I will be sharing the finished piece soon. It will be available for purchase if you fall in love with it, don't be shy, just message me😃.
