Stop! Don't Just Look Up. Your Roof is Only as Strong as Your Attic Ventilation.

When you look at a roof, it's easy to focus on the shingles. But the real integrity of your roof system—and the life of your home—depends on what happens under those shingles, specifically attic ventilation and insulation.

Poor attic ventilation is a leading cause of costly problems:

Premature Shingle Failure: Without proper airflow, heat and moisture get trapped. This essentially "bakes" the shingles from below, drastically shortening their lifespan.

Ice Dams in Winter: In cold weather, heat escaping from the living space melts snow on the upper roof. This water refreezes when it hits the cold eaves, creating damaging ice dams that force water back under the shingles and into your walls.
