Since April 20, 2020, the government has been authorizing real estate brokerage activities for priority residential real estate transactions. These include:
🏠Those occupancy date (taking of possession) is on or before July 31, 2020;
🏠Those whose relocation date (moving date) is on or before July 31, 2020
For these priority transactions during this same period, the government authorizes physical visits under certain conditions, summarized in an OACIQ Practices Guide that all brokers must scrupulously comply with for the protection of everyone
Pre-purchase inspections, the services of land surveyors and certified appraisers are also authorized under strict health conditions.
Furthermore, it is still possible to put a residential property up for sale, as long as it is done virtually. No visits from brokers, buyers, or building inspectors will be possible for these new listings. A notice will be included in the description sheet. Your broker must ensure compliance with these conditions imposed by the public health authorities.
