Well, Mr. and Mrs. McCallister, thanks for choosing VI Inspections for your home inspection. I had a really good look around today and overall it’s in good shape, especially considering it was built in 1920. There’s just a couple of things I’d like to bring to your attention.
Your attic is uninsulated and isn’t suitable to be used as a bedroom. Any kids sleeping up there will likely p*e the bed because they’ll be too cold to get out of the bed at night.🥤
Your furnace is really old, like older than most rocks. It’s going to be really inefficient and a huge pain to haul coal down to the basement, if you can even buy coal anymore. I recommend obtaining a quote from a qualified HVAC contractor and budgeting for replacement.
Home security systems aren’t in the scope of a standard home inspection, but I recommend having an expert review the system and ensuring it functions properly, especially around the holidays.
Oh, and one last thing. I’m gonna give you to the count of 10, to put a guardrail on those basement stairs, before some kid falls off and hits their head. 1, 2, 10! 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
