2. Clean your gutters and downspouts: Remove any debris, such as leaves, twigs, or dirt. Clogged gutters and downspouts can cause water to back up and damage your roof, siding, and foundation. You can use a ladder, a hose, or a leaf blower to clean them, or hire a professional to do it for you.
