🎬 Did you know downtown Nanaimo played Seattle in HBO's The Last of Us?

In May 2024, Commercial Street was closed off and turned into a post-apocalyptic city for Season 2, Episode 4, complete with abandoned cars and grass growing through the pavement.

🦖 Godzilla's nuclear train was filmed on the rail line near Old Victoria Road
🦸 Superman's Alaskan bar in Man of Steel was the old Cassidy Inn near the airport
🏡 Hallmark's Chesapeake Shores filmed six seasons in Nanoose Bay, Parksville and Qualicum Beach
