Oct 2nd Natalie Portlock Real Estate will she share her story of trails, endurance, community, and what can happen when we become curious about our own limits.
Natalie is a local Nelson real estate agent who finds her calm and happiness through travel and the many outdoor adventures the West Kootenays have to offer.
Growing up playing soccer, running was always part of her life — but she was also known to say, “I never need to try and run more than a half marathon.”
Then, two years ago, she traded road running for trail running.
She found her community. She found her happy place. And she became a little obsessed with discovering just what her body was capable of.
Since then, Natalie has completed a couple of 50 km races, several 100 km races, and has just crossed the finish line of her first 100-mile race. Safe to say, the half-marathon rule is officially gone.
