Thursday February 26th, bail out your favourite business owners and help raise funds for BC Special Olympics- Nelson athletes.

The Nelson Police will be”arresting” over a dozen local business celebrities and held in a mock jail until they reach their bail. The funds raised will support the upcoming Special Olympics Polar Plunge at Lakeside on March 8th at noon. Link in my bio to donate and learn more!

Throughout the event, spectators can:

Watch live arrests from 12-1 pm throughout the downtown core. See the detainees at the temporary ‘jail’ at the Nelson Squash Club (330 Baker Street) from 1 pm onward, until they make bail. You can donate online or On-Site.

Thank you the Nelson Police Department for their continuous support of Nelson Special Olympics and to the community for coming together for this light hearted fund raiser.

Want to learn more about this event and/ or BC Special Olympics - Nelson, send me a DM, I’d love to chat more!

Happy Family Day ❤️

My family lives in Ontario so unfortunately I am not spending family day with them however I am reminiscing some very special moments we’ve had together over the last year and a bit and feeling so grateful. We were able to travel to Europe together to visit family in England and spend time exploring Portugal and Belgium. In August, my sister came out and crewed me at my 100k race in Manning Park followed by a few days relaxing and camping on the Sunshine Coast. I was also able to make it back home in September to spend some quality time with extended family. Time with family is so invaluable to me and I am beyond thankful that we can all make time to be together at least once a year!

I hope that no matter how or who you’re spending today with, I hope everyone is having a wonderful long weekend! ❤️

I have loved getting to work with all of my buyers but there’s something special about walking first time home buyers through the process and getting to hand over those keys. What made this one even more special for me was that it was my best friend. From getting to tour homes together, showing her a glimpse of my daily work life and watching her fall in love with a property and making it a realty brought me so much joy. I am beyond proud of her for being able to make this happen! ❤️

What a way to ring in the holiday season 🎄 It’s always the right time to start looking, give me a call and let’s make your home dreams a reality 🏠

Get to know me — Birthday Edition! 🎉

✨ Officially 39!
✨ I usually spend my birthday traveling and doing something active. This year I stayed close to home in Nelson and ran 1 km for every year. (And it was tough!)
✨ I’ve celebrated my birthday in 6 countries across 4 continents, and I’m always happiest when I’m exploring or moving my body.
✨ I was supposed to be born on Christmas. The root of my name “natal” means Christmas. (And boy, do I love Christmas!)
✨I LOVE holidays and celebrating others but get uncomfortable when the attention is on me and even though I enjoy birthdays and want to make them special, I travel to avoid the pressure and expectations. This year was an incredible reminder to just slow down and enjoy. I am so blessed with an amazing, loving and supportive community.❤️
✨ My birthday wish this year? More travel, more connection, more endurance miles, and more opportunities to support people — whether that’s buying or selling a home or in my community .

I’d love to hear how others spend their birthday, their traditions and how they feel about birthdays in general!

The City of Nelson is proud to announce improved accessibility at Rotary Lakeside Park, thanks to the arrival of two pieces of adaptive mobility equipment now available at the Paddle Rental Centre: a Mobi floating wheelchair and an All-Terrain beach wheelchair. These additions are complemented by the recent installation of a Mobi mat, offering safe and stable access across the sand to the shoreline.

Beginning June 12, 2025, the equipment will be available for free public use during Paddle Centre hours: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday through Monday, continuing through to Labour Day weekend.

These improvements align with the City’s ongoing efforts to foster inclusive, barrier-free recreation opportunities for all residents and visitors.

The City would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Nelson Rotary Club for their continued support and dedication to community projects. Their contributions have been instrumental in making Rotary Lakeside Park a more accessible and welcoming space for everyone.

Visit the Paddle Rental Centre at Rotary Lakeside Park to borrow the wheelchairs.
