I had the the absolute pleasure to do a little food photography workshop with the students at the campus (my old stomping ground)

I baked a tried and true strawberry shortcake recipe (a la from a shoot we did way back) and taught the students a little on how to style food for photos. We also went over recreating natural light in the studio with strobes and light modifiers! And today we polished it off by having a little photoshop lesson where I taught them how I edit my images. It was a friggin’ blast! Thank you guys for having me in and letting me teach ya a couple of things. And huge ups to for trusting me with his students!

There are rumours going around that Rowan's Room is closing our doors. These rumours are NOT true.

However, due to the lack of government recognition and support for programs that are critical for the diverse and under-serviced populations we serve, we are having to downsize and restructure our offerings greatly.

While we are not, in fact, closing, these changes still have a profound impact on our staff, students, their families and the communities we serve.

As we continue to navigate what this will look like, we ask that those impacted by the lack of equitable and free access to the supports and services that their human rights entitles them to, reach out to your MLAs and government officials to share how critical programs like ours are essential to an inclusive and barrier free Nova Scotia.
