Proud beyond belief. These boys right here from are your SOSSA CHAMPIONS and have earned their right to compete at AAA OFSAA ⚽️ June 4-6 2026.
At SOSSA yesterday our group displayed resiliency, believe and class. In the semi-final, the boys matched up against Blessed Trinity, Defending SOSSA Champs and OFSAA hosts. After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, found an equalizer before half time. In the 2nd half the Marauders came together and created opportunities which found his second goal of the match chipping the keeper into the far post. Myer held on to a 2-1 victory and advanced to the SOSSA Final where they met Orchard Park.
After an hour break, The Marauders took the pitch vs Orchard Park. The boys were quick to influence the match and created quality changes which weren't converted. Orchard Park finished their lone chance and led 1-0 after 15 minutes. Myer responded quickly and equalized with a quality finish from . Orchard Park then found a 2nd goal in the late stages of the first half and led 2-1 at half. The boys took the field for the 2nd half and dug deep to final a second equalizer. In the 61st minute @87.pearce found a loose ball at the 35 yard line and didn't think twice. He powered the ball off the cross bar and down into the back of the net. With all the momentum, the boys knew it was their time to take what was theirs. With minutes remaining Captain .pingue led an attack which seen Orchard Park concede a Penalty. Alessio stepped up and finished the job to help Myer take their first lead of the home 3-2.
