This year, I decided to celebrate myself. ❤️
Not because everything went perfectly. But because I finally gave myself permission to recognize how far I’ve come.
This year, I…
✨ Won New Business of the Year with the Halifax Chamber Of Commerce
✨ Was named one of the Top 25 Powerful Women in Atlantic Canada Atlantic Business Magazine
✨ Was named an Emerging Leader of 2026
✨ Became a representative with the Startup Canada Women Advocacy Network Startup Canada
✨ Hired my first two team members at Celebrate Your Curves Yeswanth Madasu
✨ Hosted my first fashion Retreat Ravens Rest Retreat
✨ Graduated in Adult Education Conestoga College
✨ Adopted a cat, her name is GARDEN
✨ Submitted my adoption application
✨ Started therapy again
✨ Gave myself permission to make mistakes, learn, change, and try again
✨ And somewhere along the way, I learned to celebrate the small wins too.
I also broke an engagement this year.
And that deserves to be on this list too.
Because sometimes an achievement is not something you accomplish. Sometimes it is choosing yourself, even when it hurts. Sometimes it is having the courage to walk away, start over, and trust that your life can still become something beautiful.
Today also marks six years of learning how to live in a world without my brother.
Six years of missing him. Six years of carrying his memory. Six years of figuring out how to keep living, growing, laughing, dreaming and becoming the person I want to be.
Today is his celebration of life, and I can’t think of a better day to celebrate my own life too.
And I know I’m not the only one.
So I want to ask you:
What is something you’re proud of accomplishing, surviving, choosing, or becoming this year?
Tell me. I want to celebrate you too. ❤️
