This year, I made a commitment to get back to the things that make me feel good — inside and out. And one thing I realized I’ve truly missed over the last few years is running.
So this year, my incredible high school girlfriend Janet Hamelin and I committed to running together again during Ottawa Race Weekend, and I’m so glad we did. Running has given me back so much mental space, comfort, clarity, and that powerful feeling you get when you accomplish something hard.
We had amazing weather, the best cheerleaders, lots of laughs, and we both hit our time goals. Grateful for the experience, the friendship, and the reminder that sometimes the things we need most are the things we once loved.
