One of the things I’m enjoying most about my development internship is seeing how collaborative this industry really is.

I’m learning that development isn’t just about buildings; it’s about relationships, trust, and bringing the right people together to solve problems.

Most people see a finished neighbourhood. I see everything I’m still learning.

Every road, every home, every layout here … was once just land.

I’m not the expert—yet. I’m the one asking questions, sitting in rooms, listening more than I speak. Learning zoning, servicing, timelines, costs … piece by piece.

What changed everything is learning alongside real developers, real investors, real lenders—not just in theory, but real decisions happening in real time.

And I’m reminded, everyone I look up to once stood right here, trying to figure it out too.

So I’m giving myself permission to learn out loud, grow through experience, and stay in rooms that stretch me—

because I'm building them.
