On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, it is expected that the Bank of Canada (BoC) will decrease the interest rate by 50 basis points.

If this scenario unfolds, the BoC would have lowered the rate by 175 basis points over the last 6 months! Crazy ehhh! 🫨

Although it’s not a predetermined path for future subsequent rate cuts, as long as inflation inches closer to 2% and assuming there are no other policy changes, we should see at least 2 (25x2) rate cuts this year. 🀞
