On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, it is expected that the Bank of Canada (BoC) will decrease the interest rate by 50 basis points.

If this scenario unfolds, the BoC would have lowered the rate by 175 basis points over the last 6 months! Crazy ehhh! 🫨

Is this development positive or negative? Hmm.

Unemployment in November 2024 at 6.8% 🤔

I can assertively state that it is crucial to carefully consider the current and future risks related to inflation and the Canadian dollar, particularly in 2025.🤷🏼‍♂️

Ahhh, interesting and much awaited move - we are now at a 4.50% overnight lending interest rate.

Although it’s not a predetermined path for future subsequent rate cuts, as long as inflation inches closer to 2% and assuming there are no other policy changes, we should see at least 2 (25x2) rate cuts this year. 🤞

“Economic growth in Canada has picked up but remains weak relative to population growth,” said Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem.

Approximately $15 off every $100,000 mortgage balance. Hmmm, is this move in the right direction to persuade future real estate investors?🤔
