This April, join us at the YZD Community Centre for a month of hand-on, family-friendly programming rooted in creativity and play.

Each Sunday features a different interactive experience exploring the intersection of technology, art, and movement. See below for the weekly programming breakdown:

Two new immersive exhibits have arrived. 🎨🧱
expo surrounds you with Monet’s most iconic works while revealing insights into his life and artistic vision.

The globally acclaimed LEGO exhibition, , features large-scale sculptures and artworks by Nathan Sawaya created from millions of LEGO bricks.

This March, YZD welcomes Laura Carwardine for a month of hands-on, embroidery sessions that blends craft, colour, and collective creativity.

Each Sunday invites participants to explore embroidery and soft sculpture through a rotating series of tactile activities – from interactive fence installations to whimsical stitched objects.

Whether you’re threading shapes into a shared artwork or stitching everyday forms like bacon, eggs, and wallets, these sessions celebrate experimentation, repetition, and the joy of making together.

Responsible Development doesn’t start at construction. It starts with listening, learning, and showing up for people.

Today, Northcrest, as lead developer of YZD, shares Responsible Development in Action (2020–2025) — a look at the early work shaping the site before the first building goes up.

From partnerships with Indigenous communities and local organizations, to youth programs, greener operations, and nearly one million visitors already welcomed to the site, this report captures how YZD is being built with care, and people at the centre.

This is progress in motion. And we’re just getting started.

Come Learn to Skate at Hangar Skate at YZD!

Join certified instructors for free Learn to Skate lessons designed for beginners of all ages. Whether it’s your very first time on the ice or you’re brushing off old skates, these sessions are all about building confidence, at your own pace, in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

✅ Free rentals for kids under 12

Hangar Skate is closed today — Sunday, January 25❄️🥶

With the extreme cold weather — and YZD sitting at one of the highest points in the area, making it even colder and windier — Hangar Skate is cancelled today for everyone’s safety - this includes all indoor programming.

Fear not! We will be moving all Enchanted Forrest programming to next Friday, January 30, so be sure to register by clicking the link in our bio.
