North Channel Bike Park is now open!! (Fri-Mon 10-5)

Get ready to rip! The North Channel Bike Park — Manitoulin Island's only dedicated bike park — opens this weekend 🚵 The latest project from Manitoulin Cycling (MICA), the park was built by dozens of volunteers, and features Euro-style gravity trails for every level. The Perfector pump track is perfect for kids, beginners, and anyone looking to sharpen their skills.

The park sits on the Manitoulin Nordic Ski Club property, on hwy 540 between Aundeck Omni Kaning and Honora Bay (also home to the Bingaman Trail), and was made possible through $250,000 in federal and provincial funding.

The beautiful Perivale Gallery is opening soon! It is a wonderful spot to visit during your stay on the island. Every year it gets better! Only 5min drive from us at Fred's Camp. ☺️

We open for our 45th season on May 15th, 2026. Our opening show, "Through Ivan’s Eyes: A Northern Vision Lives On" celebrates the life and work of beloved realist painter, the late Ivan Wheale. Known for his quiet, deeply felt portrayals of the northern landscape, Ivan captured moments of stillness, light, and reflection that resonate far beyond the canvas. This exhibition brings together works that reveal the places he loved and the peaceful vision he shared so generously with others.
