This week: Harper’s Landing in Oakville.

This one has a special place in my heart because it’s where I went after finding a home in Oakville and making the final decision to move from North Vancouver.

A new city, a new chapter, and a patio toast to making Oakville feel like home. 🥂

Harper’s Landing has always felt like one of those easy local spots - great for meeting friends, grabbing drinks, having dinner, or celebrating one of those “life is changing” moments.

And for me, that’s what this whole series has really been about: not just where you live, but the places that become part of your story once you do.

Located right by the harbour, Bronte Boathouse has that relaxed, lakeside energy that makes summer in Oakville feel extra special. It’s the kind of spot that feels made for sunny afternoons, casual drinks, and soaking up the best of Bronte.

A seasonal patio, harbour views, and summer in full swing? Yes, please. ☀️⚓

Just across the street from Plank, Marine Tavern is perfect for patio hopping in the summer - especially if you love that classic English pub feel in the heart of Bronte Village.

This one has always been one of my favourite spots - maybe because they call their W**e Wednesday, “W**e Not?” Wednesday. 🍷

It’s casual, cozy, a little bit lively, and perfectly located in one of Oakville’s most charming lakefront communities, Bronte. It also has that “Cheers” feeling, where you walk in and everybody knows your name.

And you really can't beat 2-for-1 w**e, all day long!

Their Happy Hour runs daily from 2-4 pm - yes, weekends too!

With its beautiful lakeside patio, elevated Mediterranean-inspired menu, and views of Lake Ontario, Isabelle is one of those spots that instantly makes an ordinary summer evening feel like a luxurious escape.

Their Happy Hour runs Monday to Friday from 4-6 p.m., with $10 cocktails and select w**e, plus fresh-shucked oysters for $2 each. And keep an eye on their social pages - Isabelle also hosts special patio events with a DJ from time to time. 🍸🎶

Bonus: Wednesdays are a great excuse to go, with their Margherita pizza special on the menu and $6 w**e.
