The real estate courses teaches you basics… not how to actually do the job. I can tell you for a fact I learned very little from the courses, it’s a lot of useless out dated info I’ve still never needed and it’s been almost 5 years.

Most of what makes a good agent isn’t learned in a classroom. It comes from real experience, good mentors, being on teams, shadowing other agents, and constantly learning as the market evolves.

I can confidently say the most valuable things I’ve learned in this business came after getting licensed. Including doing all the things mentioned above.

But the reality is, a lot of agents stop there.

And when you work in this industry, you quickly realize how often you’re dealing with agents who simply haven’t continued learning. That’s not just frustrating for other agents, it can directly impact the clients they represent AND my ability to get clients into homes they love.

Real estate changes constantly. Rules and guidelines change. Strategies change. Markets change. If an agent isn’t continuing to learn, they’re not doing their job properly.

So here’s the real takeaway:

If you’re hiring an agent… interview them!
Ask questions.🗣️
Make sure they know what they’re talking about. 💡
Make sure they’re confident in their answers. 💪🏻

Because if they aren’t confident guiding you through the process… how can you be?

The exam gets you the license.
Experience and learning make you a good realtor 💙

Based on true events….🤪

It’s even MORE annoying when the listing agent doesn’t pick up the phone and I’m just left there like welpppp onto the next.

Not only is this annoying for SO many reason but also unprofessional. Myself and my clients took the time to book and come visit your property and no key or an answer on the phone is an immediate way to leave a bad impression

Choose your agents wisely people and if your house has a lockbox and you use the key…. Put it back please 🤪

Truly, choose your agents wisely. Don’t just pick the first one that you see on your feed or on a bus shelter with a wrestler…. 🤪😝

Do you research, pick someone you feel good about, who checks out, who’s honest and quite frankly who cares and doesn’t treat the process of finding the place you will call home like a transaction.

Rest assured I still know how to do my job and secure great deals for my clients, since that’s what really matters anyway 😉
