The latest CREA numbers are out, and the national market stayed relatively quiet last month:
✅ National home sales dipped 1.3% from January and were 8.1% lower than February 2025
✅ National average home price held steady at $663,828 (-0.2% YoY)
✅ MLS® Home Price Index down 4.8% year-over-year
✅ Active listings are up slightly but still below the long-term average
We’re sitting in balanced market conditions right now — neither a strong seller’s nor buyer’s market.
Here in Ontario (and especially the Hamilton/GTA region), activity has been a bit slower, but there are early signs that spring momentum is building as buyers adjust to the current rate environment.
