What if your definition of “hard work” is keeping you stuck?
Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that if we aren’t stressed, exhausted, or overwhelmed, we must not be working hard enough.
So we push.
And push.
And push some more.
But does struggle automatically mean you’re doing meaningful work?
Sometimes the things that come naturally to you can feel almost too easy.
And that can create a strange belief:
“If this feels easy, it must not be valuable.”
But maybe ease isn’t laziness.
Maybe it’s alignment.
Maybe it’s what happens when you stop forcing yourself into work that constantly drains you.
It’s worth getting curious about what “hard work” actually means to you.

Are you underpricing yourself because you don't feel worthy of charging more?
We tend to think pricing is a logical decision.
Look at the market.
Check the competition.
Set the number.
But sometimes there’s something much deeper happening.
You know your work has value.
And then it’s time to name your price.
Suddenly you think:
“Is my work really worth that much?”
So you lower the price.
Offer the discount.
Or convince yourself that you need more experience before you can charge more.
Here’s what I want you to get curious about:
Are you pricing your work based on its value — or based on what you believe you deserve to receive?
Your price is not your worth.
But your relationship with pricing can reveal a lot about your beliefs around worthiness.

Why is receiving a compliment sometimes more uncomfortable than giving one?
Someone tells you something beautiful about yourself, and suddenly you don’t know what to do with it.
You laugh.
You minimize it.
You say, “Oh, it’s nothing.”
But here’s the thing — sometimes receiving a compliment challenges the way we see ourselves.
If you don’t fully believe something positive about you, hearing someone else recognize it can feel uncomfortable.
And that discomfort is worth getting curious about.
Maybe receiving starts with something really simple:
“Thank you.”
No explanation.
No minimizing.
No making yourself smaller.
Just allowing yourself to receive.

Maybe you don't need to become someone completely different.
Maybe you need to start seeing yourself differently.
Instead of:
"I have to work out six days a week."
Try:
"I'm someone who takes care of my body."
Then prove it with one small action.
Keep the promise.
Do it again.
That's how self-trust grows.
And eventually, the identity you're trying to create starts becoming who you are.

The unknown makes us nervous.
So our mind says:
"Let's not go there."
But think about it...
Everything you've ever done for the first time was once unknown.
You didn't know exactly how it would turn out.
You just took the step.
Sometimes the thing you're most afraid to try is the thing that introduces you to a completely different version of your life.

We often say:
"I don't trust myself."

But here's the question I want you to sit with...
Where are you actually putting your trust?
Are you trusting yourself to succeed?
Or are you trusting yourself to fail?
You may not be able to control the outcome.

But you can trust your ability to take the next step, learn, adapt, and keep going.
That's a different kind of self-trust.

What does it really mean to trust yourself?

Sometimes we think self-trust means knowing exactly what's going to happen.
It doesn't.

You can have no idea what the outcome will be and still trust yourself to figure out the next step.
That's especially important when you're leaving a job, changing careers, or stepping into an identity you've never experienced before.
You don't need to know everything.
You need to trust yourself enough to begin.

What if the story you've been telling yourself for years isn't completely true?
We experience something.
We interpret it.
Then we build a story around it.
And eventually, that story becomes part of how we see ourselves and the world.
But here's the question:
What else could be true?
You don't have to invalidate your experience.
You just have to leave room for another perspective.
That's where curiosity begins.

Someone cuts you off in traffic.
They honk.
They drive aggressively.
And suddenly you're angry.
But pause for a second...
Why are you giving someone you don't even know control over your peace?
You can't control how other people behave.
But you can become more aware of what you do with the emotion that comes up.

Sometimes the most powerful response is simply:
"I'm not carrying this with me."

Sometimes the hardest part of achieving a goal isn't doing the work.
It's starting.

So instead of asking yourself:
"How am I going to accomplish all of this?"
Ask:
"What can I do in one minute to get closer to my goal?"
One minute of action might not change everything today.
But it can change your direction.
And that's where momentum begins.
