The real estate market in Durham Region has the highest inventory levels in the last 12 years, resulting in lower average sale prices. We currently have over 2000 listings in Durham with many potential buyers waiting for interest rates to decrease before purchasing.

Multiple offer situations are still occurring in the lower price ranges while the higher priced homes are experiencing a higher then average amount of price reductions.

Our next rate announcement is Sept 4'th, followed by two more before the end of the year, Oct 23'rd and Dec. 11'th. Fixed mortgage rates are anticipated to drop as the year comes to an end.
