👻🌵 THE GHOST OF OSOYOOS? 🫣
Coincidence? Or does the Ghost of Osoyoos know exactly where the cemetery is? 😳
For more than 20 years, the longest arm of this eerie vineyard figure has pointed directly toward Lakeview Cemetery... 🪦
🍇 It all started with a small patch of Virginia creeper vines climbing an old telephone pole. As the vines reached the wires, they spread outward... and slowly transformed into a towering, monster-like figure.
Today, this creepy Osoyoos landmark is known by many names:
👻 The Vineyard Monster
🌿 The Creeper
💚 The Green Glob
👹 The Banshee
🧍 The Redeemer
But to us, it's the Guardian of the Vines. 🍇😊
And there's more to this mysterious figure than meets the eye...
🦜 It is a giant bird condo!
The towering, dense vines are filled with bird nests, creating a natural sanctuary for local wildlife.
🍇 It even helps protect the vineyard!
Leafhoppers were attracted to the vines before appearing on the grapevines, making the creature a natural early-warning system for when the vineyard needed protection from pests.
And our Guardian of the Vines changes its outfit with the seasons...👕👚👖👗
