Huntington Properties also teamed up with EFIT solar on 5 different commercial roof-tops within our property portfolio to install solar panels under the Ontario Power Authority FIT program. The assets benefit from additional income from the energy produced and sold back to either Ottawa Hydro or Hydro One. Huntington has seen better than expected results with the energy production from the solar panels, and believes this is a step in the right direction for working towards sustainability.

The Hobin team is so proud to work on another project together with Huntington Properties Ottawa and Morley Hoppner.

The project at 1068 Cummings Avenue, will be a three-wing, six-storey retirement residence and 55+ age-in-place apartment complex located in Ottawa’s east end. Once complete, it will feature over 300 units, including rooms within the retirement home section, and other rooms in the apartment portion – the buildings will be connected by a two-storey podium.

This project will provide a much-needed increase in capacity to support Ottawa’s seniors’ housing market.

Construction is well underway and set for completion this year – we will be following progress closely and sharing more in the upcoming months.

The Stonemont Retirement Lifestyle Community at 1068 Cummings Avenue recently had a major milestone as they topped off the concrete structure a few weeks back.

Construction continues on this new three-wing, six-storey retirement residence and 55+ age-in-place apartment complex. Totalling over 310,000 sq. ft. of living space, this development is a place where people can choose from the total independence of lifestyle apartments, all-inclusive apartments with added hospitality services included, the enhanced care of supportive living apartments, or short-term accommodations for respite stays.

Congratulations to the project team working so hard on this one, including Huntington Properties Ottawa and Morley Hoppner. This project will provide a much-needed increase in capacity to support Ottawa’s seniors’ housing market.

The superstructure of the Cummings Retirement Home and Apartments is now complete, and the exterior cladding is quickly progressing.
