Welcome to Westboro Connection—a multiphase vision that complements the existing community
while promoting a live-work-shop lifestyle. In 2016, Colonnade BridgePort completed Phase I of Westboro Connection, a two-tower, mixed-use
development at 315-319 McRae Avenue, offering residential and commercial space in the heart of
Westboro. We brought two cherished Ottawa-based businesses, Bridgehead and
Farm Boy, to the
neighbourhood, as well as established organizations like Alterna, Pythian and Kids & Company. Now, with Phase II, we’re planning a development at 1960 Scott Street that will extend the residential,
commercial, pedestrian and cycling capabilities along McRae Avenue, from Richmond Road to the
forthcoming transit station. Phase II will feature commercial uses on the lower levels and residential rental
units above. We’re thrilled to bring another project that will provide further services, amenities and
housing options to this neighbourhood—and one that will support the City of Ottawa’s infrastructure and
long-term vision for growth by attracting more residents and professionals to within a few metres of the
upcoming light rail transit system. Westboro is a perfect blend of urban excitement and small borough warmth, close to inspired restaurants
and unique boutiques, minutes from downtown via transit and just steps away from the Ottawa River
pathway. Our goal is to build on what makes Westboro special by revitalizing the McRae corridor,
providing a link from Scott Street to Richmond Road and attracting new activity for local businesses. Throughout every step of Westboro Connection Phase I, we worked closely with community members,
nearby residents, the local councillor and city staff to design a development that addressed their
individual and collective concerns. With Phase II, you can expect the same level of engagement and
accountability from us. We’ll provide updates on all relevant issues and encourage feedback, from start to
finish. Westboro Connection—our vision for enhancing your community.
