I’m so honoured & excited to be part of the upcoming Immigrant Women Entrepreneurs Forum — a day to celebrate the courage, creativity, and resilience of immigrant women who are building businesses and breaking barriers across Canada.

When I came to Canada from El Salvador, a country torn by war, I was just eight years old. Canada opened its arms to us — offering not just safety, but opportunity. That welcome changed everything. It gave me the chance to dream, to build, and to become the woman and entrepreneur I am today.

As a woman, an immigrant, and an entrepreneur, I know what it means to start from scratch — to pour your heart into something that really matters to you, even when the odds are stacked against you.

Building a business takes grit, resilience, and faith — believing in your vision long before anyone else does. 💪

To all the incredible women entrepreneurs out there:
🌿 Keep going.
🌿 Trust the process.
🌿 Use every challenge as fuel to rise higher.

Over the years, my career and businesses have brought so many incredible people into my life — people I’ve had the privilege to work & partner with, lead, and teach. Their trust and belief in me continue to give me purpose and the perseverance to keep growing, creating, and helping other entrepreneurs rise.

I’m truly honoured to be speaking at the Build Her Conference on October 29.

Land development has been my passion for over 15 years — not just for the projects themselves, but for the people and communities we get to impact along the way. Through Creative Dev Ventures and the Land Development Academy, I’ve had the privilege of helping others bring their visions to life and find purpose in the process.

If there’s one book I return to again and again, it’s How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

It’s a timeless read — whether you’re fresh out of school or leading major projects, it always offers something new. The lessons are simple but powerful: listen well, lead with empathy, and build genuine relationships.

In land development, success rarely happens in isolation. This book is a reminder that surrounding yourself with the right people can take you further than going it alone. And to build those relationships, you need to be someone people want to collaborate with — curious, respectful, open.

Even outside of land dev, these skills are transferable. They help you grow, take bold steps, and navigate the unknown with confidence — and support.
