Ottawa's vacancy rate of 3.9% does not include condos that are being offered for rent by owners.
With 2300 units added to the city's numbers in 2020 only 890 of those are occupied.
When you add an additional 2352 rental units under construction it leaves an owner of a condo unit that is being rented whether it is time to sell their unit.
