💪 Overall home sales were 21.5% below the 5-year average for March, however we finished Q1 2024 strong with 2,678 units sold year-to-date. This represents a 13.1% increase in comparison to Q1 of 2023, indicative of an apparent positive shift in the market.

The spring and summer 2024 market outlook is still positive as new and active listings are increasing in the Capital city. The OREB President, Curtis Fillier, suggests that - sellers confident is starting to boost as showing activity is on the rise, however Buyers are not acting quite as quickly as they should be. This is likely due to the affordability issues and the lack of supply, which currently sits at 2.5 months of inventory, both presenting as roadblocks for buyers.

Fillier advises potential buyers and sellers not to delay their decisions, implying that market dynamics could evolve rapidly, in a short time frame.
