Si tú, un familiar o alguien que conozcas fue afectado por la tormenta del 1 de julio, la Ciudad de Ottawa, en alianza con Matthew House Ottawa y Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa, está ofreciendo apoyo para reemplazar muebles y artículos esenciales del hogar.
Quise compartir esta información porque sé que puede marcar una gran diferencia para quienes más lo necesitan.
Y si tienes muebles en buen estado que ya no utilizas, considera donarlos. Un pequeño gesto puede ayudar a una familia a empezar de nuevo.

Many residents continue to rebuild after the July 1 extreme weather event.
To support recovery efforts, the City of Ottawa is partnering with Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa and Matthew House Ottawa to provide gently used donated furniture to eligible households whose essential furniture was damaged or destroyed by flooding.
The Extreme Weather Event Furniture Assistance Initiative was informed by thousands of conversations with affected residents. Due to limited donated inventory, assistance will be prioritized for households with the greatest financial need.
The City will follow up with people identified through wellness visits and service requests who may benefit from this initiative. Residents who have not been contacted but require furniture assistance as a result of the July 1 extreme weather event are encouraged to call 3-1-1 to inquire about the initiative and have their needs assessed.
