Canadian Finalist - Short term rental project of the year RESA 2026
This award is not just about one project. It represents years of learning, growing, making mistakes, finding solutions, and never giving up when things don’t go according to plan.
Like many beautiful projects, this one came with its share of challenges. We worked under extremely tight timelines and sourced all light fixtures and bathroom mirrors for two complete bathrooms in such a short period felt almost impossible at times. There were moments when I questioned whether we could pull it all together.
But I’ve learned that challenges often reveal what experience teaches you.
For the past 15 years as a home stager, I’ve worked in an industry where deadlines are tight, plans change without warning, products disappear, deliveries are delayed, and you learn to adapt quickly while keeping your focus on the final vision. Those years taught me to stay calm under pressure, think creatively, solve problems, and trust the process. Every obstacle along the way prepared me for this project.
No meaningful project is ever accomplished alone.
To my family and friends, thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and for believing in me even during the stressful moments when all I could see were deadlines.
Finally, I’d like to encourage anyone pursuing something they care deeply about: don’t be discouraged by obstacles. They are often preparing you for opportunities you haven’t even imagined yet. Experience isn’t simply measured in years—it’s built one challenge at a time.
I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition, and I accept it with gratitude, humility, and excitement for what lies ahead.
