It was an honour to help my client through the sale of their late parents' home. Selling a family home is about so much more than a real estate transaction — it's about memories, milestones, and finding the right next chapter for a property that has meant so much to a family over the years.
One of the things that made this sale particularly special was the connection between the home and its new owners. As lifelong fans of The Wizard of Oz, they were delighted to discover they would soon be calling "Yellowbrick Road" home. To help welcome them, the seller is leaving behind some treasured Wizard of Oz memorabilia to enjoy and continue the story.
As a fun coincidence, this wasn't the first Wizard of Oz-themed home I've helped sell. A few years ago, I sold a property on đź’šEmerald City Way that featured the same iconic Tin Man garden figure. It seems this neighbourhood may have embraced the theme years ago, and now the tradition continues with a new family.
A special thank you as well to Andrea for the referral. Although she has retired from real estate, her trust and continued support mean so much, and I am always grateful when past colleagues think of me when someone they care about needs help.
