This fall, our community will elect the next Qualicum School District Board of Education — and we'd love to see a strong, diverse field of candidates step forward.

School trustees make important decisions about budgets, programs, staffing priorities, transportation, facilities and the overall direction of public education in our community.

You don't need to be an education expert or have political experience to consider running. You need to care about public education, be willing to listen and learn, and want to serve your community.

QSD is hosting a Trustee Candidate Information Session tomorrow, August 27 at 6:00 p.m. n Room 8 at Winchelsea Learning Centre located at 140 Renz Road, Parksville.
