Owning a Bernese Mountain Dog means accepting that at certain times of the year, you could probably brush out enough fur to make yourself a second dog.

Funny how a random stop can bring back so many memories.

I was in Fairview the other day for a property closing and stopped for lunch. While I was there, I spotted Dr. Danger: Life Story of a Rural Veterinarian by Dr. Art Schatz, one of my favourite instructors from Fairview College.

Of course I bought it.

That sent me digging through my old Animal Health Technology yearbook from the Class of 2000. Looking through these pages brought back so many memories of learning, laughing, and figuring out what I wanted to do with my life.

Most people don't know that Fairview is where my Alberta story really began. I moved here from Manitoba when I was 17 to attend college, and I've called Alberta home ever since.

Anyone who knows me knows I love going to and working in Fairview. Every time I'm there, it feels a little like coming home.

It's funny where life takes you. Twenty-five years later, I'm still finding myself back in Fairview, only now it's helping people buy and sell homes instead of heading to class.
Some places never stop feeling like they're part of your story. ❤️
