Should I sell my home as-is or fix it up?

I say, show it in its best possible light.

That doesn't necessarily mean renovating. Sometimes a few small tweaks are all a home needs. Other times, doing more may make sense.

Before spending the money, consider the cost, the time involved and what difference it's likely to make when you sell.

Because the goal isn't to turn your current home into your dream home just before you leave it.

It's to prepare and present it so buyers see it in its best possible light.

How many homes should I see before making an offer?

One? Five? Ten?

I actually think there is a minimum number of homes you should see in person before making an offer.

And the reason has less to do with finding the perfect home and more to do with making a confident decision.

Should I get a home inspection before I list my home?

There are some very good reasons to do one. But there’s also a downside you need to understand.

A pre-list inspection can give you time to deal with a problem before a buyer discovers it, and having one available can give buyers greater confidence in the home.

But once an inspection identifies a problem, you know about it, and that may have disclosure implications.

What happens if my home doesn’t sell?

That question is about more than selling your home.

There’s probably something you’re trying to do next, and you’re wondering what happens to that plan if your home doesn’t sell.

That’s why we need a plan before your home ever goes on the market.

If it isn’t selling, we look at what buyers and the market are telling us. Ultimately, we need to ask:
Does the presentation of your home align with the price?

And importantly, that answer can change as new homes list and competing homes sell.
