🏢 Going up or going down?

Moving into or out of a condo or apartment comes with a few challenges you don't always think about until moving day.

Long hallways, tight corners, elevators and bulky furniture can make getting everything from your front door to the moving truck a job of its own.

That's why planning how everything will get in and out of the building is just as important as packing your boxes.

Here's a look back at one of our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Toronto East trucks, with the high-rises in the background. 🚚

Whether you're moving into your first apartment or making a change to a new condo, we're here to help you get there.

What's been your biggest challenge when moving into or out of a condo?

🚚 You know moving day has officially started when the movers arrive at your front door!

The boxes are packed (well, most of them 😅), the furniture is ready, and everything is about to change.

For some people, it's an exciting new beginning. For others, it's a little bittersweet. Usually, it's a bit of both!

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Toronto East, we know a lot is happening on moving day. Our job is to help with the heavy lifting so you can focus on getting settled.

💛 FEEDBACK FRIDAY | TORONTO EAST

Sometimes it's the little things that make moving day easier. A confirmed plan, arriving on time, and a crew that knows what they're doing.

Here's what Kathleen had to say about her experience:

💬 Kathleen Brewer

"2 phone calls to confirm move. Movers on time, courteous, knew the building, calm, quick, took direction well. Thoroughly pleased with the movers you sent."

Thank you, Kathleen! We're happy to hear our team made your moving day a smooth one.

📦 Packing always takes longer than you think!

You start with the bedroom, thinking it'll only take a few boxes.

Then you open the closet. 😅

Clothes, books, keepsakes and all those little things you've collected over the years. Before you know it, there's a lot more to pack than you expected!

A little advice? Start with the things you don't use every day, pack one room at a time and leave your everyday essentials until last.

And remember, you don't have to do all the packing yourself.

Whether you need help getting everything boxed up or moving it into your next home, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Toronto East is here to lend a hand.

What's the one room you always underestimate when packing? 😂

🏠 Downsizing? Will all your furniture fit in the new place?

That dining table you've had for years. The big sofa in the living room. The extra bedroom furniture.

When you're moving into a smaller home or condo, deciding what to bring can be one of the hardest parts.

Before you start packing, take a few measurements and think about how you'll use the space in your new home.

What furniture will fit? What would you like to keep? And what might be better donated or passed along?

Give yourself time to make those decisions. You don't have to sort through everything in one weekend!

Whether you're downsizing in East York, Leslieville or elsewhere in Toronto East, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK can help with the packing, moving and heavy lifting.

Moving day involves the whole family. 📦

While the boxes are being packed and furniture is getting ready to go, everyone has their own things to think about.

For families with kids, keeping a few familiar things nearby can help. Favourite toys, chargers, snacks and everyday essentials are worth setting aside before everything gets loaded onto the truck.

And you don't have to handle all the heavy lifting yourself.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Toronto East helps families with residential moving, packing and getting their belongings safely from one home to the next.

Planning a move? We're here to help make the process a little easier.

Moving out before you can move in? 📦

It happens more often than you'd think. Closing dates don't always line up, renovations can take longer than planned, and sometimes you just need a little extra time before everything goes into your new home.

That's where storage can come in handy.

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Toronto East, we can help with moving and storage when your plans don't quite line up.

Whether you're moving within Toronto East, Scarborough or the surrounding area, having a plan for your belongings can make the whole process a little easier.

Movers for Moms®2026 is officially in the books, and it was another successful year for the program! 💜

This is the second year of Movers for Moms for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK's Canadian locations, and we were able to make positive strides bringing this giving program to Canada. Partnering with 32 different community partners across the country, we were able to collect 4,520 essential care items that were donated to women's and family shelters on or around Mother's Day.

Take a look at some of the highlights from this year's Movers for Moms program in the video below and see how our franchises were able to partner with their communities to make a difference in the lives of others!
