Basement moisture gets dismissed too often because the floor feels dry on showing day. We treat wall stains and white chalky buildup on concrete as a real selling issue, not a cosmetic one. Buyers, inspectors, and appraisers read those marks as a sign of water entry and possible foundation trouble.

Our advice is simple. Deal with the source before listing, not after it shows up in a report. Every time we prep a home for sale, we look closely at foundation walls for past seepage, even when the basement seems fine now.
