Welcome to 982 Browning Island, a classic Muskoka retreat on the south shore of Browning Island, the largest island on Lake Muskoka.

Set on 1.88 acres with 365 feet of pristine shoreline, this property offers exceptional privacy, all-day sunshine, gentle land, warm granite shoreline, and some of the longest south-facing views on Lake Muskoka.

Owned and cherished by the same family for over 50 years, this is the kind of cottage where lifelong memories are made—days spent swimming, waterskiing, paddling, and relaxing in the Muskoka Room, followed by evenings around the fire under the stars.

Adding to the opportunity, the neighbouring vacant lot at 972 Browning Island is also available. Together, the two properties would offer an incredible 665 feet of frontage and 3.4 acres on one of Lake Muskoka’s most sought-after islands—creating a rare opportunity for a family compound, enhanced privacy, or future development potential.

Rarely does a property like this become available.

Left Muskoka January 31 for my annual winter ski safari ⛷️

A little later than usual this year thanks to the snow, cold, and icy roads around Muskoka & Parry Sound… I was almost locked in!

Night 1: Wawa (Independent Grocer parking lot 😄)
Night 2: Dryden (Walmart)
Night 3: Somewhere east of Regina… during a snowstorm (still not entirely sure where)
Night 4: Banff — Tunnel Mountain Village II

I’ve been slow posting because I’ve been busy having a great time with Finn!

Now we just need fresh snow in Alberta and British Columbia ❄️✨

Fernie 2.0 - We ended up back in Fernie for the “last hurrah” to celebrate over 6 weeks of skiing & adventures!

The parking lot section where you can park your trailers & vans (no charge….shhhh 🤫) was mud which made it challenging for keeping the dogs & trailer clean but the spring conditions and company made it well worth the drive back!

We left Fernie on Sunday March 9th and made our way back to Ontario. This year’s adventure was very different with the off-road trailer but once I got used to backing it up (it is WAY harder than my boats!) I loved the luxury of extra space, a propane furnace and the handling of my Jeep in the tough conditions. I unplugged from almost all technology and read 8 books, visited 7 ski resorts, travelled 10,280km, enjoyed the company of many good friends and unlimited belly laughs. I am truly blessed and excited for another great year of waterfront real estate in Muskoka!

Kicking Horse was sunny & fun….but they needed some fresh snow😳. We climbed in order to find some soft snow still hiding in the colder temps on the north side of the bowls and it was well worth the effort for the views and soft conditions👍

Lunch was yummy by the fireplace at the Eagle’s Nest lodge with stunning 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains!

Our accommodations were great as well….the Golden Golf Club had spacious & private RV parking & plowed cart paths around the course to walk the dogs and only a few minutes to the ski resort.

We will definitely spend more time here next season….as long as the gondola is safe & working well👍 🚡

Fernie 1.0…..one day of good snow and one day of sunshine before we decided to try & find snow further north on the powder highway!

I am definitely thankful for good friends on this trip because the snow has been sparse in comparison to other years😳❄️

Red Mountain is always fun & this stop was especially “fabulous” on this year’s adventure because I finally met up with the rest of my pack after they crossed back into Canada! 🍁

We shared lots of good hiking with the dogs, tree hugging in the Old Growth forests at Strawberry Pass, delicious food, lots of belly laughs and some fantastic skiing including both powder days & sunny days! ❄️❤️🍾
