It’s not lost on me how this day can feel when you want to be a mom but it hasn’t happened yet.

If that’s you — let this be living proof that it is possible.

It’s the farthest thing from easy. Not knowing why, being told there was nothing medically wrong and it was “just stress.” Seven of the longest years on the want-to-be-a-mom rollercoaster. 84 months of trying to live life while watching all my friends have kids and grow into these fabulous little humans. 2,555 days of emotions eating me up inside that almost no one around me truly understood.

Putting yourself in check and getting through each day when you want something so badly is hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever done. No amount of time or money can fix that kind of ache.

If this is where you’re at right now — I know. I’ve been you. And it’s hard as f***.

These two little ladies are living proof that the universe was looking out for me — and it will do the same for you. You can’t control the timing, but have faith that everything happens for a reason.

When my first arrived, I literally thought I won the lottery. She wanted a sister so badly, and of course I did too — so we asked the universe every single night. I honestly never thought it would happen again. But here we are. 🥹

There are so many ways to create a family, and in the end, the path to get there doesn’t matter. We chose private domestic adoption, and I’d encourage anyone to explore every path available to them. Being able to love little people is the greatest gift anyone could ever be given. Cherish your journey — it only makes the result that much sweeter.

To the want-to-be moms — I see you.

To the moms out there — I see you too.

It’s the hardest and most rewarding job in the world, and after my journey, one I’m so damn grateful for. 💛
