What you need to bring

You will need to bring drinking water.
✅ All bed sheets including pillows
✅towels
✅toiletries including toilet paper- there's a "starter amount" but that likely won't be suffice
✅ Sunblock and Aloe Vera, medicines: allergy meds/advil/Tylenol (adult and children's)
🔥 wood can be purchased for fires, bring flyers from home. Lighter are in the bottom drawer in the kitchen
✅ Folding lawn chairs if you want extra seating around the fire (6 plastic Muskoka chairs are located at our home) or at the beach
🥘 Food/groceries, beverages; Keurig pods, tea bags, coffee grinds (we have drip caraffe in addition to Keurig)
💰 cash if planning on visit the food trucks or market during your stay

📌 There is on site laundry, arcade, Boston Pizza restaurant, coffee shop, grocery store, water park, skate park, tennis courts & mini put within short golf cart drive. Beach is within 4 minute walking distance and the

📣📣📣 OUR GOLF CART CANNOT DRIVE ON THE BEACH. - IT DOESN'T HAVE THE NECESSARY TIRES, YOU WILL GET STUCK

There is no parking of vehicles on the beach but golf carts are allowed to drive and park at the beach. Off leash dog parks within Sherkston grounds. Soccer field and outdoor workout Center within 2 minute walk. Many outdoor playgrounds for children to play on.

Welcome guests!!

A friendly note about air conditioning on a sweltering hot day like today…

❌Please do not set your a/c unit too low❌

➡️The average unit cools a space well when set no lower than 72.

➡️If the temperature is set much lower than this, the unit CAN (AND WILL) FREEZE. This means the a/c UNIT WILL NOT WORK and will need time to thaw, which can take up to 24 hours, leaving you without a/c during that time.

➡️The units are working overtime trying to cool spaces. Unplug any unnecessary power supply drains such as the golfcart, phone chargers, etc.

➡️Most often times, charging the cart and running a/c on a day like today will blow the breaker at some point. Unplug the cart, charge at night when it’s cooler and the a/c isn’t having to work so hard.

And most importantly - go jump in the lake! Guaranteed to be the fastest way to cool down 😉

(stolen from another post-very relevant because our last guests left it at 68 and our current guests came to a freezing cold unit. More scary than that, is fully blowing our unit, being without ac, and losing your security deposit) ☀️
