🏡❤️ CLOSING DAY

Some closing days carry a little more emotion than others.

For almost 30 years, this home was part of our sellers’ story filled with everyday moments, memories, milestones and so many chapters of life.

Turning the page after that many years is never easy. A home can hold so much more than four walls, and saying goodbye often comes with a mix of emotions as one chapter closes and a new one begins.

Here are some.of our favorite Fall Road Trips Worth Taking from Northumberland County 🚗

You don’t need to travel across the province to find colourful forests, winding country roads, waterfalls and charming small towns.

Here are four beautiful fall drives to explore:

🍁 The Northumberland Backroads

Begin in Port Hope and travel north through the rolling countryside toward Bewdley and Rice Lake. Continue through Harwood and Warkworth before finishing in Campbellford, where you can walk across the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge and explore Ferris Provincial Park.

🌲 The Warsaw Caves and Buckhorn Route

Travel toward Peterborough before heading to Warsaw Caves Conservation Area. Enjoy the forest trails and lookout, then continue through Young’s Point and Buckhorn before finishing at beautiful Burleigh Falls. This route offers the perfect mix of colourful forests, rocky landscapes, water views and small-town stops.

🍂 The Kawartha Lakes Loop

Make your way through Lindsay, Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon. Walk beside the falls, explore the local shops, enjoy lunch overlooking the water and take the scenic country roads connecting these welcoming Kawartha communities.

🛶 The Lake Muskoka Circle Tour

For a longer day trip or weekend escape, begin in Gravenhurst and follow the scenic roads toward Bala, Port Carling and Bracebridge. Expect winding roads, brilliant fall colours, lake views, waterfalls and plenty of cozy places to stop along the way.

Sometimes the best adventures are found just a short drive from home. Pack some snacks, bring a warm sweater and allow yourself time to stop whenever something catches your eye.

Our tip: Fall colours arrive earlier in Muskoka than they do closer to Lake Ontario. Check the Ontario fall-colour reports before leaving so you can catch each area at its best.

And just like that… the backpacks are packed, lunches are made, alarms are set, and another school year begins! ❤️

To all the parents sending their little ones — and not-so-little ones — off tomorrow, we’re wishing you a smooth morning and a GREAT first day! Whether you’re celebrating the return to routine or wondering how they grew up so fast… tomorrow can bring all the emotions. 🥹

A few little reminders for tomorrow:

⏰ Give yourself extra time — traffic, buses and first-day nerves can make mornings a little hectic.

🥪 Keep lunches simple — tomorrow isn’t the day to put extra pressure on yourself.

The fair is back with rides, midway games, agricultural exhibits, live entertainment, vendors, fair food and plenty of family fun. If you haven't been in a while, this is your sign to make a day (or night!) of it!

Lace up and enjoy a beautiful run through our community, with distances for different ages and abilities.
🥕 Cobourg Farmers' Market
