Westport Village is a big building project that will happen in two parts. In the first phase, they will build three tall residential towers with condos, rental apartments, and homes for seniors. They will also make an arts center with a theater, places for artists to work, a public space, and some shops and offices, including a grocery store. There might even be a hotel.

In the second phase, they plan to fix up a part of a nearby creek and make a new walking trail and a place to look at the creek. However, they couldn't make a shuttle bus to go to the nearby SkyTrain station because it was too complicated. Instead, the developer will give the city some money to make better paths for walking and cycling to the station.

The project got approval, and it shows how things can go well when people work together and are considerate of others.

The property at the corner of Clarke Street and Barnet Highway was a winery from 1961-2005
