Aesthetic cleaning is on pause. Upgrades aren’t.

Stage 2 water restrictions have halted aesthetic cleaning within city limits. Surface washing is only permitted for two reasons - health and safety (think moss, algae, oil, or mold removal) or surface prep before paint, stain, or sealant.

Client needed a generator pad and enclosure built to engineers specs - here’s some photos from start to finish.

The existing planting bed was excavated, sub-base tamped, and a concrete pad formed, poured and broom finished. From there we built out the galvanized chain link enclosure, laid landscape fabric, and finished the bed with mixed river rock.

One of our clients in the city reached out to us for help with a complete backyard transformation, and we’re excited to share that Phase 1 is officially complete.

Like many pet owners, our client struggled to maintain a healthy lawn with active dogs using the space daily. To create a long-lasting, low-maintenance solution, we started by removing approximately 6 inches of existing soil throughout the yard.

Next, we installed a heavy-duty landscape fabric and placed a drainage gravel base to promote proper drainage, stability, and longevity beneath the new surface.

This deck isn’t finished yet, but the transformation is already underway.

This wood deck is currently in the restoration phase, and what you’re seeing is not the finished product.

Before stain ever touches the wood, we follow a detailed 3-step restoration process:

✅ Step 1 – Strip
We apply a professional wood stripper and surfactant to break down old stain and coatings before a thorough rinse.

✅ Step 2 – Deep Clean
A wood restoration wash removes algae, mildew, organic growth, and the gray weathering that naturally develops over time, helping reveal the wood’s original character.

✅ Step 3 – Neutralize & Brighten
A neutralizer/brightener balances the wood’s pH, stops the stripping process, prepares the surface for stain, and restores the beautiful natural color of the cedar.

Next comes the finishing work:
• Sanding rough areas
• Replacing damaged boards if needed
• Setting proud screws flush
• Final surface preparation
• Premium stain application
