This is a great example of how far a small grant can go in the hands of a local recreation group.

The Qathet Regional Cycling Association received $10,000 from the Outdoor Recreation Fund during the most recent intake and has used it as a starting point, not the end.

They’ve built on that investment by bringing in partners, raising additional funds, and rallying volunteers. The result is a much stronger project at Duck Lake than the original grant alone could have delivered.

Better trails. Accessible facilities. A space that works for more people in the community.
