Prince George City Council adopted Bylaw 9635 on August 31, 2026, changing several residential development standards.

The 2024 zoning changes established the core permission for additional units on qualifying lots. Bylaw 9635 adjusts rules that can influence whether those units are practical to build.

I reviewed all 30 operative amendment clauses and assembled this guide so property owners, buyers, investors and builders can see what changed and where it appears.

These amendments may affect a property’s latent or unrealized development potential, but they do not guarantee that a project is feasible or that property value will increase. Zoning, lot dimensions, servicing, setbacks, title restrictions, building-code requirements and permits still matter.
