2026 Water Stewardship Rebates

Help conserve and protect our shared water resources and save money! Our rebate program is now open!

🌧️Rainwater Harvesting: Eligible RDN residents can receive up to $1,000 for the installation or addition of 1,000 imperial gallons of rainwater storage.

💧Irrigation Upgrades and Soil Improvements: Eligible RDN residents can receive up to $1,075 for irrigation upgrades and/or 50 per cent off garden soil improvements up to $300. Receive $100 bonus rebate for completing both irrigation and soil upgrades.

🧪Wellhead Upgrades and Well Water Testing: Eligible RDN residents can receive up to $650 for wellhead upgrades or up to $500 for the closure of any unused well. In addition, 50 per cent off (up to $350) a full spectrum water quality analysis is available to RDN private well-owners.

VIREB recorded 7,620 unit sales (all property types) in 2025 compared to 7,473 in 2024. There were 412 unit sales in December 2025, down six per cent from one year ago. Active listings last month were 3,075, up seven per cent year over year.

In the single-family category (excluding acreage and waterfront), 215 homes sold in December, down four per cent from one year ago and 17 per cent from November. Sales of condo apartments last month came in at 37, decreasing by 16 per cent year over year and down 26 per cent from November. In the row/townhouse category, 47 units changed hands in December, down 18 per cent from one year ago and 11 per cent from November.

Active listings of single-family homes were 837 in December, up from 829 one year ago. VIREB’s inventory of condo apartments was 319 last month, increasing from the 271 properties listed in December 2024. There were 259 row/townhouses for sale last month compared to 195 the previous year.

Benchmark prices in December were as follows.

• Single-family - $773,000 (up 1% y-o-y)
• Apartment - $405,400 (down 3% y-o-y)
• Townhouse - $537,200 (down 2% y-o-y)
