Growth has a way of taking us into places we once thought were never meant for us.
Back in the day, I never considered myself a “numbers person.” That was one of the reasons I chose Hospitality Management. But years of operating businesses, investing in real estate, managing cash flow, making financial decisions, and learning from both wins and mistakes changed the way I look at numbers.
Today, I’ve developed a much deeper understanding of how money works, the Canadian economy, financial markets, investment funds in Canada, risk and return, taxation, retirement planning, and the role financial decisions play in building long-term stability and wealth.
What started as curiosity became something much bigger: the ability to look beyond the numbers and understand the systems, behaviours, risks, and decisions behind them.
I’m grateful to be surrounded by professionals from banking, insurance, taxation, education, management, and other industries people who bring different perspectives and experiences to the table. What I value most is being in an environment that recognizes that professional growth is not only about technical knowledge, but also about character, communication, discipline, emotional intelligence, and continuous personal development.
That mindset has also been deeply strengthened through Gabay sa Mabuting Asal (Guide to Good Character and Conduct), a program of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), which continues to shape how I approach character, Building healthy relationships, decision-making, responsibility, faith, and life itself.
I’m thankful for the church ministers, mentors, facilitators, financial professionals, lawyers, agents, brokers, colleagues, classmates, friends, and everyone who has shared knowledge and experience with me along the way.
I’m no longer looking at finance as simply “numbers.” I see it as understanding people, capital, risk, opportunity, and how better decisions can shape a better future.
Continuing to grow, sharpening my understanding, and building my own path with faith, discipline, and God above everything. ☝🏻
