SOLD 🎉

I forgot to post this one last week but I am so excited for my seller on the sale of his home! We accepted an offer after 2 days on the market and after a slight hiccup, we ended up selling unconditionally after 8 days of being listed! For asking price at that 🤩

Historically, October, November, and December are slower months in the real estate world. Especially, when you consider how dreadful Alberta winters are - who wants to move in -50° weather? 🥶

However, what we are seeing currently is that the market is still hot for sellers and there are still lots of buyers looking to make that purchase (some are just taking a little longer to put that pen to paper). If you are considering entering the market this fall as a seller, I have a couple tips for you to use to set your property in front of the rest:

▪️Don’t skip out on curb appeal. Rake those leaves, pot those beautiful Mum’s, tidy any lawn clutter you may have. The way your house looks at first glance will still have an impact for many buyers.

▪️Ensure there is adequate lighting - both indoors and outdoors. With autumn weather comes shorter days, meaning many evening showings will be done when the sun has already set. Make sure your home is nicely lit outdoors so buyers can still get a good idea what’s out there and make sure the inside has plenty of warm, cozy lighting.

▪️ Don’t go crazy with the seasonal decor. Adding some small, seasonal touches is perfectly acceptable but going overboard with Halloween decorations on the front lawn when there’s showings and open houses going on can be distracting and take away from what your house actually has to offer.

And now for some random fun facts about me ✨

▪️I am a mom to the best little girl, Sloane, and a dog mom to the sweetest (yet crazy) black lab, Ruby

▪️I recently got married! We eloped in Las Vegas and had the best time - I would choose eloping over a big wedding every time 💒🎰 (no hate to big weddings, just not for us)

▪️Originally, I’m from Ontario but like so many others, I fell in love with Central Alberta and made it my home over 4 years ago - Blackfalds, specifically 🏡

▪️I have a degree in psychology (behavioural analysis 🧠) and spent most of my 20s working in the field. So, if you think I’m analyzing you, I probably am 😉

▪️ I would consider myself an “introverted extrovert” - I love interacting with others but NEED my alone time to recharge my batteries 🔋

▪️ When I’m not doing work-related activities, I’m probably with my family, doing another reno and DIY around my home, reading a psychological thriller, or baking some type of goodie 🍞📚🛠️
