There’s something special about leaving your mark.

In construction, we pour concrete to create strong foundations that will last for generations. Sometimes, before the concrete sets, we leave a date or initials behind, a reminder of the people who helped build it. This week, our team had the chance to share a small part of that process with the students at Turtle Park Kindergarten.

The West Oak construction team built custom wooden forms, demonstrated concrete mixing, and helped each student create a concrete handprint keepsake using straw “rebar” and fresh concrete.

While the activity was focused on construction, it was also a reminder that strong foundations come in many forms. Every day, teachers and caregivers help build confidence, curiosity, and skills that will stay with these students for years to come.

Thank you to the students and staff at Turtle Park Kindergarten for having us. We had a great time getting our hands dirty and helping create something they’ll be able to keep for years to come. 👷‍♀️🏗️👷‍♂️

Frontenac Who!? 👀🌿

A few weeks ago, we shared the beautiful new garden at Frontenac Apartments.

The response reminded us that people notice the little things.

So when residents at The Mayfair asked for more flowers and greenery, we got to work.

With a little inspiration (and maybe a little friendly competition between property managers 😉), we added new garden beds to brighten the property and create a more welcoming space for residents to enjoy.

The best part hasn’t been the flowers, it’s been the response. Neighbors stopping to chat, residents sharing compliments, and seeing people take pride in where they live.

Sometimes the smallest projects make the biggest impact. 🌸

And with 0% vacancy at The Mayfair, maybe these little improvements really do make a difference. 💚

We recently welcomed local Regina historian Dale Edward Johnson for a Lunch & Learn on the history of the GM Plant and its lasting impact on our city.

As owners and operators of the Mayfair, The Frontenac, 1300 8th Avenue, and 1260 8th Avenue, this story hits close to home. Our properties are deeply intertwined with the former GM footprint, making it fascinating to learn more about the people, industry, and history that helped shape this area of Regina.
