A bit of snow this weekend, but most of it melted this afternoon already. Our cabin rental guests still enjoyed the cozy warm cabins and the pretty sight of snow and yellow foliage ❄🍂

Flashback to September 20 in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It is a very pretty time a year to plan a trip. But colder for sure, yet still busy on the Icefield Highway, arriving midday parking can be full for the hikes or sightseeing.
Usually less bears to spot compared to May/June.

Mid September to early October are best for lovely fall colours in Alberta. Sometimes sunny days with warm afternoons and somerimes, as today, quite cold rainy days. The days sure are shorter, compared to May 1st 3 hours less daylight, meaning on a sunny day 3 hours less sunshine 🌞 , therefore spring is a great choice as well to travel in Alberta

Moose cabin campfire site and our horses having nap time 💛🐎 They got lots of cuddles and carrots treats from awesome cabin rental guests this past few days and are looking forward to more from this weekend group 😁
