Rainy here in Rothesay, but it's a great time to make sure your gutters and grading are in good shape before Winter hits! If you have an umbrella with you, take a second to look at these items when you get home from work:

- Gutters - Are they sloping toward the downspouts, or are they sagging? Are they free from debris, or clogged?
- Downspouts - Are they clear and shedding water easily?
- Downspout extensions - Is water being diverting about 4-6 feet from your foundation?
- Grading - Are there puddles around your foundation?

Want an inspector that treats your house like their own? I'm your guy!

Here's a quick story -

After a new roof was put on my house, I climbed into the attic to take a look at the vents. I noticed on the far side of the attic that there was no vent cut through the roof, even though the ridge vent was installed on the exterior. I had a "faux vent" that looked great but didn't function. This could have led to mold, rot, high energy costs, and more, but I would have never noticed it if I didn't climb the ladder and get dirty. The good news was that after calling the roofing company, they made it right at no cost.

If you want someone to take the same approach to inspecting your home as they would with their home, give me a call!

I'll climb up into the attic, crawl under the crawlspace, and walk the roof, just like I would with my house.

And, I'll communicate concerns in a way that give you solutions, not scare you off. Anything is fixable, and sometimes what could have been a costly repair can be solved without having to spend anything.
