Sometimes I get asked the question -What would you do for work if you weren’t a realtor? For me, that is an easy answer-I would be a teacher, because I love sharing my knowledge and helping other people learn and grow into their fullest poten

tial. As a realtor, I also get to do these things every day with my clients. I have worn many hats in life as an Entrepreneur, Business Owner, and Auto Sales Representative. As someone born and raised on beautiful Vancouver Island, I have had the pleasure of seeing our towns and cities grow and blossom into the proud communities that they are today. I have a keen understanding of the properties, key industries, businesses, and innovative ideas that help the population of Vancouver Island thrive. As a proud homeowner myself, I have also experienced both the heartbreak and redemption of buying a previous home with graffiti on the walls and then transforming it into a warm and welcoming home that was sold for a nice profit! By using my signature Butterfly Method, I take clients through a simple yet detailed approach to buying and selling homes that is creatively tailored to their unique and specific needs. By using true empathy and understanding, I can help you make those tough decisions with both confidence and clarity of mind. Whether you are navigating a fresh start or a bittersweet goodbye, I’ll be there to make the journey smooth, supportive, and full of heart. Let’s find the home, joy, and peace you’ve been searching for.

She's been thinking about making a move for two years.

She's not lazy or indecisive.

She's carrying the whole thing on her own, and she doesn't know which piece to pick up first.

I work with women in Cowichan Valley and Victoria who know the house isn’t working anymore, but don’t know where to start..

My job is to make the next step feel smaller than the whole thing.

What's the part of this process that feels most overwhelming to you?

Empty nesting brings up more than most people expect.

It is not always "the house is too big."

Sometimes it is quieter rooms, different routines, upkeep that feels
like too much now.

That does not mean rush.
It means ask better questions first.

What do I want daily life to feel like?

What still works?

What am I ready to let go of?
The best moves start long before the sign goes up.

Travelling reminds me of something I believe strongly about downsizing.
The decision is not really about finding a smaller home.
It is about being honest about the life your next home needs to support.
A home can be beautiful and still take more energy than you want to give it.
It can have the space, the view, the yard, and the memories — and still no longer fit the way you want to live now.
That does not mean you need to rush.
It means you need to look at the decision clearly.
What do you want to maintain?
What do you want to release?
How much driving, upkeep, property, stairs, and responsibility still makes sense?
What would make your daily life easier?
The right downsizing decision is not about giving everything up.
It is about choosing with intention.
If you are starting to think about your next chapter and want help looking at the decision clearly, message me CLARITY.

Standing in a new place always makes me think about new chapters.

Not the loud, dramatic kind.

The quieter kind — when you realize life is starting to feel different.

I think this happens for many empty nesters.

The home that once fit family life may not fit your life now.

Not wrong.

Just no longer fully aligned.

And that is why empty nesting is not only about whether to move.

It is about asking:

What do I want this next chapter to feel like?

And does my home still support that?

The right move is not always about choosing something smaller.

It is about choosing something that fits your life now.

Message me NEXT if you are starting to think about your next chapter.

A home can be beautiful and still not be the right fit for your next chapter.

When you are downsizing, the decision is not just about the view, the finishes, or how the home looks.

It is about how you live day to day.

Can you bring groceries in easily?

Is parking simple for you and your visitors?

Are there stairs you will have to use every day?

Will the yard, slope, driveway, or maintenance become more work over time?

Does the home support the way you want to live now — and in the future?

That does not mean a beautiful home is the wrong home.

It means the right home needs to match your lifestyle, energy, mobility, and long-term plans — not just your first impression.

Smart downsizing is not about choosing the prettiest place.

It is about choosing what makes life feel easier, lighter, and more sustainable.

If you are thinking about your next chapter and want help looking beyond the surface, message me HOME.

A simple day of exploring reminded me of something I often say to downsizers:

The goal is not just to move into a smaller home.

The goal is to create a life that feels lighter, easier, and more aligned with what you want next.

For some people, that means less maintenance.

For others, it means more freedom, more walkability, more travel, or more energy for the things they still want to do.

That is why downsizing should start with lifestyle clarity, not just square footage.

If you are thinking about downsizing and want a clearer plan for your next chapter, message me PLAN.

For a softer lifestyle CTA, you could also use:

Save this if you’re starting to think about what your next chapter could look like.

But for business purpose, I’d keep:

message me PLAN.

Downsizing in Cowichan Valley is not as simple as selling high, buying smaller, and keeping the difference.

That’s the part most people see.

But what you actually walk away with depends on the things people don’t always plan for early enough:

Selling costs.
Legal fees.
Property transfer tax.
Moving costs.
Strata fees.
Updates in the next home.
Timing.

And the gap between where you are now and where you’re actually trying to go.

This is why two people can sell at a similar price point and walk away with completely different results.

Downsizing is not just a smaller-home decision.

It’s about making sure what you’ve built in your home supports your next chapter.

And when it’s approached properly, the goal is not just to move.

It’s to protect your options, reduce surprises, and make sure the next home actually supports the life you’re trying to create.

If you’re starting to wonder what your equity could actually do, message me CLARITY and I’ll help you run the numbers.
