Wednesday, October 28: Bank of Canada Rate Announcement

This is an important one for buyers considering variable rates, homeowners with variable-rate mortgages, and anyone with a renewal coming up. Whether rates move or stay put, the announcement could influence mortgage conversations heading into November.

Wednesday, December 9: Final Bank of Canada Announcement of 2026

The last scheduled rate decision of the year! This will give us another indication of where borrowing costs may be heading as we move into 2027.

Friday, January 1: Foreign Buyer Ban

The current federal restrictions on non-Canadian residential property purchases are scheduled to remain in place until January 1, 2027.
